Election of Club Captains

Election of Club Captains and Vice Captains - all Athletes are asked to nominate athletes both male and female. Athletes please note nominees have to be a financial member and aged 14 years and older,  and complete accompanying nomination form or complete a form at the Club House on the 6December.

Fundraising news
Christmas Hamper  - please bring in something to add to the Christmas hamper we will be raffling it off as a major Christmas fund-raiser to be drawn before Christmas.   This week (commencing 6/12/10) raffle tickets will be available from the club house $2 each or 3 for $5. See Tim for books of tickets.

Volunteers needed!

Next Easter, Thompson Estate is helping to host the Australian Masters Athletics Cross Country Running Event held at Minnippi Parklands. This is a good source of fund-raising for the club. Are there any members or supporters who could help out for 2 or 3 hours with the food stall, marshalling, timekeeping and any other jobs going? Please reply to admin@thompsonestateathletics.com.au

Employment

Cleaner needed for clubrooms. 4 hours per week - $90.00 Cleaning materials supplied. Reply to admin@thompsonestateathletics.com.au if interested.

Maree’s Recipe
Banana Muffins
Tip: Great for before morning training or while competing to keep the energy levels up
2-3 ripe bananas mashed 
1/2 cup brown sugar 
2 tablespoons honey 
1/2 cup oats 
11/2 cups SR flour 
1 egg beaten 
1/2 cup milk 

Pre heat oven to 150 fan forced oven 
Mix ingredients together to reasonably runny consistency 
Line  muffin trays with patty cases 
Pour mixture into muffin cases 
Cook in oven for 20 mins 
When cooked take out of oven to cool but while still warm put in sealed container to remain moist.Keep in fridge and eat for a quick breakfast. 
Will last if refrigerated up to 5 days on fridge.

National Results

Congratulation to Daniel Rolley and Katrina Robinson  who both came first in their 800 metre races for 10 year olds at the Australian Primary Schools Champs held in Bendigo last week.

Merry Xmas to everyone. Have a good break and come back in the New Year ready for a good year of training. Thanks for supporting the club in 2010. Please remember to register online if you haven’t done already.
